The Landscape & Beautification Committees still need volunteers. Vice-president Brito will hold bilingual Zoom meetings at 9 pm Tuesday 7/07 and Weds 7/08 for members who want to donate their time and expertise. You must be an owner of record on your deed. Call Julie at 754-715-0727 to obtain sign-in details.
June’s Board meeting was held Tuesday 6/30 with masks and social-distancing. Many tasks approved by the Board remain stalled by Property Keepers. The pool attendant is not yet hired to re-open club house pool. The official Association website transferred from Next Gen in January (5 months late) still does not allow members to sign-up for E-blasts nor access to their accounts & our governing documents.
On April 29, Feeding South Florida, on contract with City of PPines, quietly delivered groceries to residents selected by treasurer Tammy Wyant and president Terry Moody. They made no effort to broadcast the FSF offer to other Holly Lakers who also needed food aid. Both women are NextDoor members. The Association had its official Facebook page and use of display cases at our club house to alert all struggling residents to this charity offer. Selection criteria was confidential, yet appears to be payback for recipients’ political support.

Meanwhile, resident volunteers led by Julie Brito were ending their community grocery bag give-away. Advertised for 2 weeks via NextDoor and Facebook blogs, any and all families under financial stress due to Covid-19 were urged to apply. PPines Police Dept gave away food on April 30, advertising to entire city, not just the politically “connected”.
